Before you settle on a Chicago University as the spot to earn your degree, there's something you should know about the city. It rocks. Chicago colleges put their students smack dab in the middle of one of the country's most exciting urban centers. For a student attending one of Chicago's universities or colleges, this means good times and a great education.
Let's say it's a Saturday in May. You wake up and grab coffee at one of the infinite number of cute coffee shops around the city. Then you hit the books at one of Chicago's world class libraries. Then you hop on the CTA, Chicago's fabulous public transportation system, and ride the train to the beach along Lake Michigan. Do a little studying. Do a little lounging. Eat your sandwich. Head back to the library (you're very studious after all). Then stroll home or catch that great CTA again, maybe stop in one of the great shops that line the city's streets. Grab a cheap student dinner at a classic Chicago deli, greasy spoon, etc. or head out for a little fancy supper at one of Chicago's unbeatable restaurants. Quiz yourself while you're waiting for your dinner to arrive (remember, you're in Chicago to attend college). After that, it's got to be an amazing comedy club, a great band, a phenomenal play, a new film, an art show, a ball game'actually, there are too many options to name! That's Chicago for you.
And let's say it's a Wednesday in January. Do all the same things, except with a coat on. All except for the beach. At Chicago colleges and universities, it's all possible.
